A couple who thought they had bought the “perfect house” in Arizona was bankrupt after discovering that their house had a serious infestation of termites, only three days after closing.
In a viral video with 2.1 million views, the owner of the Hailey Aguirre house enters a room in his new home and sinks into an infested wall of “ termita tubes ”: it fits the underground species to connect their underground colonies to food sources on the surface.
“I joked like, I never want to buy a house again for it,” Haeney Aguirre told the people of the surprise pestilence.
She and her husband, who had moved to the Grand Canyon State in Buffalo, New York, initially felt that they had bought the ideal home.
Aguirre said on the way out that “everything was going well” and “the purchase process was very soft”.
But while driving to close the house, the real estate agent called the couple to inform them that the termites had been discovered on the property.
Fortunately, the seller assured him that the problem had been resolved by the exterminators – and the inspection became clean – so Aguirre and his Beau advanced with the purchase.
At that time, only 72 hours after moving, Aguirre and her husband realized that their wooden squatters were still in the same place as they were originally discovered. “Thursday night is when I discovered them again, and then I realized that there were other groups just above where they were,” lamented the distracted buffalonian.
He tried to make the pest control company manage access, but for nothing.
“The completion company that came and treated it was chosen by the seller,” he lamented. “Therefore, to charge them, to find out, we did not really have control over the termites company to come and eliminate them.”
After losing two appointments, the exterminators finally arrived and evacuated the termites, only for another problem to return to the head. According to a report, a pipe broke out in his house, flooding the couple’s flats and adding insult to the injuries, for a monitoring video.
As a result, they had to turn off the water and contact the real estate officer again.
Aguirre stated that Calvary has tested his optimism, explaining that he is second if he made the “correct decision” by buying the house.
“I try to be positive about it and do it (the home),” said the owner in conflict. “But it has been a bit difficult to hear as if I can really live at home, because it seems that all I play is like breaking -me.”
